Stylist Focus- COLOUR
This month we bring to you colour correction and placement expert’s Karen and Emma.
Karen is Nancy Darcys colour degree technician, this means she has a degree qualification in colour and has a deeper level of understanding when it comes to colour correction and problems.
Emma is Karens colour sidekick, looking more closely at colour techniques and placements to achieve different/ more specific looks.
“This seasons colour see’s daring pastles return for a second summer, intriguing brights into rich darks to give an all over more striking look, reds go orange hued and blondes will be blonder than ever. The ombre trend is set to stay but will become much more natural with slicked tips of champagne and golds. A big trend is set to be warm gold tones against cool ash.
CLASH THE ASH As a previous NO-NO in hair colouring, gold and ash together may sound odd, but this season see’s a quirky clash work really nicely.
Emmas take: Ombre colours are still lurking around, so for a trendy statement hit golden roots with icy blue lengths.
Karens take: smudged highlights of dark ash into subtle golden tones make for a more natural feel. Or go classically on trend by working lots of finer highlights, alternating ash and gold to give an all over more natural look.
